An important part of a home theatre is the Television but don’t forget the home theatre stereo system.  You will be much happier listening to sound systems or simple amp with speakers than using the regular speakers of your TV.  Getting clear and full sound with the crisp picture of your TV can make a difference between enjoying a movie and having total movie theatre experience.

Home Theatre in the past was literally a small universe with theatre chairs and arc lamp houses.  They are usually expensive those times.  Today, we are lucky to have equipments available from displays, projectors, seating and other equipment used to design our own home theatre system.

When you design your own home theatre system, the biggest decision to make is the location where you will put it.  A full setup of home theater can be very overpowering especially to small homes.  That is the reason why it is important to plan ahead if your place is limited.

If what you have is a little space on the mantle of your fireplace, you might want to consider an LCD or Plasma TV and not much else.  It might as well narrow down your search if you have a small corner in your living room.
